Participation at OW2 Consortium by Spago4Q, the open source platform to measure, analyze and monitor quality of products, processes and services
OW2 is a global open-source software community, whose goal is the development of open-source distributed middleware as flexible and adaptable components. These components range from specific software frameworks and protocols to integrated platforms. OW2 developments follow a component-based approach. The consortium is an independent non-profit organization, open to companies, institutions and individuals. OW2 mission is to develop open source software, to support a vibrant community and business ecosystem.Established in 2007 through the merging of ObjectWeb community and its Chinese counterpart Orientware, OW2 federates more than one hundred organizations and 6,000 IT professionals in Europe, Asia and the Americas. The Consortium hosts over one hundred technology projects, including Acceleo, ASM, Bonita, eXo Platorm, Funambol, JOnAS, Lomboz, Orbeon Forms, PetALS, XWiki and all the SpagoWorld projects: SpagoBI, Spagic, Spago4Q, Spago.

Engineering Group's strategy is to promote the durable and sustainable development of an ecosystem centred on open-source software through the support of an international open source community and focusing its road-map on industrial initiatives.
Engineering Group's real commitment in OW2 Consortium is demonstrated by the following activities:
- leading the OW2 BI Initiative, a joint effort of OW2 and no-OW2 members, set up to foster the growth of a business ecosystem in the Business Intelligence domain
- participating in the OW2 Open Source Cloudware initiative,a joint effort of partners from Brazil, China, Europe and the U.S.A., all sharing the same goals in the open source cloud domain.
