Open Source SOA, Interoperability and Cloud Computing at the Eclipse Day 2010 in Rome

The first event taking place in Italy focusing on the enterprise adoption of Eclipse-based solutions.

Rome, 30th September 2010 – Expectations are high for the Eclipse Day in Rome, which will be held on 5th October 2010 at the Conference Center Roma Eventi – Fontana di Trevi.

The conference, organized by Engineering Group in collaboration with Eclipse Foundation, sponsored by Microsoft, Red Hat, SOPERA, RCP Vision, Micro Focus and Talend, will present different solutions supporting the development of new IT architectures.

Testimonials include Deutsche Post DHL and the Veneto Region, which will present their open source software use cases, within a selection of international best practices.

The event allows to know the state of the art on service-oriented architectures, integration, interoperability and recent IT industry trends, such as cloud computing and the XaaS model. An open debate between producers and users will focus on users’ requirements and offering, with the aim to face future developments of open source software and new technology supporting the management of complex information systems, providing a sustainable answer within a large collaboration of diversified actors.
