There are three widgets created in a cockpit document for reporting the sales information. The first widget is a chart, displaying the total revenue in the passed years. The other two are tables, displaying the top 5 best and lowest selling products of each year respectively. I want to link the first widget with the other two tables by year. I went to the Associations -> created two associations with "year": total revenue widgets linked with best selling table, and total revenue widgets linked with lowest selling table.

However, one of the table displays lots of duplicated information, and the other one doesn't. What's the problem?

Thanks!
Hi,

I am working on building a BIRT report, which allows users to apply a filter on the report. I used "like" clause in my dataset in Studio. Here is the code:

The I tested the code using %AASP% (AASP is the query string) in Studio, it worked well.

And then I created a LOV with fixed values, set up the value as %25AASP%25, and run the document. It gave me the error:

I checked the analytical driver, biadmin had been set up as an association role.

If I changed the LOV value to %AASP%, it gave me another error:

It seems like an encoding problem, can anyone have any idea to resolve this problem?

Thanks!
When I put in a web service URL (SOAP), like http://ipaddress:8080/ks-with-rice-bundled/services/soap/ken/v2_0/sendNotificationService?wsdl

I got the error:

Can any one help me?

Thanks!
Hi

I am trying to set up a dataset from a webservice. But I don't know how to use it. I can't find too many documentation to lead me. Could any one give me an example (or using a public accessible webservice URL)? I am using a SOAP webservice. Do I need to set up something on the webservice server side?
And how can I create a parametrized dataset?

Thanks!
Hi Antonella.

Thanks, that's very helpful. Now it is working well.

The main reason causing my problem last time is, in the datasets of the new cockpit, the profile attribute "userid" should not be presented as ${userid}, it should be $P{userid}. Looks like it is treated as a parameter, not a profile attribute.

Thanks!
Hi Antonella.

After I change the scope in the filters editor as relative, the error when I create a widget is:

Impossible to load dataset [questloop_questionnaire_name_PA] due to the following service errors:
The following parameters have no value [userid];

Thanks
Hi Antonella.

Yes, now I can see the parameter in the filters editor. I set the scope as static, and didn't give the initial value.
I also set up the analytic driver as before for this cockpit document.

But I got another error:

Impossible to load dataset [questloop_questionnaire_name_PA] due to the following service errors:
Profile attribute 'userid' not existing.;

Can you help me with this?

Thanks again!

Thanks Antonella.

I clicked the parameter section (the icon, the filters editor) in the cockpit. There was nothing in there. Did I do something wrong?

Cheers
Hi Antonella,

Thanks for your reply.

However I set up an analytical driver for this cockpit document:
Titil: user
analytical driver: userid (this links to the LOV I created before)
Url name: userid
priority:1
visible: true
required: false
multivalue: false

But it still gives me that error. How can I do next?

Thanks!
Hi,

I met a problem when I was deploying a profile attribute in the new cockpit (in memory cockpit in SpagoBI 5 version) document.

I create a profile attribute "userid", in LOV, by using javascript: returnValue('${userid}'), and it works.

Then I set it up in a dataset (questloop_raw_PA) by using '${userid}', and set up the type as number. When I test the dataset, it returns perfect results, filtered by the userid.

Then I create a new cockpit document. When I create a new widget, using this dataset, it gives me the following error:

Impossible to load dataset [questloop_raw_PA] due to the following service errors:
The following parameters have no value [userid];

Can any one tell me where is the problem?

Thanks!
Hi

I create a mobile document, and setup an analytical driver (i.e. a profile attribute parameter) for it. When I login as a mobile user to execute it, the parameter input interface will always pop up first, I have to click the execute button to go into the document, no matter I choose the "visible" option or not in the analytical driver. Is there any way to hide the parameter input interface?

Thanks!
Problem resolved.

I shouldn't use the desktop cockpit template code as the mobile cockpit code. The mobile cockpit xml must be written by hand.
Hi

I recently met a problem when I execute a sql query on a dataset in spagoBI 5 to Mysql 5.6 databases. A service error came out:

Service Error:
An unexpected error occurred while executing dataset: you have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'OPTION SQL_SELECT_LIMIT=DEFAULT' at line 1 Query statement: [select * from from tblAccount]

The SpagoBI version is 5.0-16092014.
Mysql version is 5.6

I found the default JDBC driver version used in this SpagoBI server was mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar. I replaced it to a newer version: mysql-connector-java-5.1.33.jar. The problem resolved.

Can anyone tell me what is the reason, and if this is the right way to resolve the problem, as I am not sure if it will happen again in the next few months?

Thanks!
Hi
I am currently working on building a cockpit composed document in spagoBI 5. I am trying to deploy this on mobile on mobile and it wont render.
At first, I built a cockpit composed with three interactive extcharts, their relationships are: questionnaire_ext -> publication_ext -> question_ext.
The settings are following:
Cockpit
type: cockpit
engine: document composition engine
two analytical drivers: 1. title: Questionnaire, analytical drivers: Questionnaire_Name, URL: qName; 2. title: publication, analytical drivers: publication_name, URL: publicationName

questionnaire_ext
type: chart
engine: JSChart engine

publication_ext
type: chart
engine: JSChart engine
analytical driver: title: Questionnaire, analytical drivers: Questionnaire_Name, URL: qName

question_ext
type: chart
engine: JSChart engine
two analytical drivers: 1. title: Questionnaire, analytical drivers: Questionnaire_Name, URL: qName; 2. title: publication, analytical drivers: publication_name, URL: publicationName

They are all working fine on the desktop version.

Now I want to deploy them as mobile version. When trying to deploy to mobile I tried the following changes:
1. cockpit document: changed the type to mobile cockpit, changed the engine to mobile cockpit engine.
2. cockpit chart documents: changed the type to mobile chart, changed the engine to mobile chart engine.

When I login to my ipad the cockpit does not render, it gives me the following error:
it.eng.spagobi.engine.mobile.composed.service.executeMobileComposedAction.doService: unable to execute composed document

Any ideas as to what the issue might be?

Thanks in advance!
Hi

We got the same problem. Does it mean SpagoBI Mobile doesn't support the new cockpits (in memory cockpits) yet?

cheers,
