Problem: Empty model with PostgreSQL [SOLVED]

Resource Set for the business model and the physical model are empty after choosing the tables to import.

It works fine if I use a MySQL database as the data source.

I tried also using a luciddb database and apache derby.

Mysql database is the only I can get working.

Is anyone succesfuly using PostgreSQL as Metadata Model datasource?

Thanks for the feedback. We will check it. If it is a bug we will fix it and release a patch next week.

Ok we have verified that this is a bug (http://www.spagoworld.org/jira/browse/SPAGOBI-626). We are really sorry for the unconvenience. We have already fix it on svn and so you can expect to dont have anymore this same problem in the next release of spagobi (version 3.1 will be released at the end of july).

I also seem to have this problem.

I looked at the svn link in ow2web and svn://svn.forge.objectweb.org/svnroot/spagobi appears to only have data in the 1x branch - 2x and 3x are empty when I browse. I also tried to download the latest svn snapshot http://forge.ow2.org/svnsnapshots/spagobi-svn-latest.tar.gz which is also empty. Interestingly, the web browse appears to work but I'm not aware how to use this.

Edit: Actually the svn is populated now so perhaps I looked at it during some sort of refresh process. I will download and attempt a build - is there any guidance on building Meta?.

Is there any chance of rebuilding and releasing SpagoBI Meta early in order to facilitate new users evaluating SpagoBI on a platform other than mysqll?

The version 3.1 is out. We have fixed some problems with DBMS other than MySQL.

I'm still having the same problem with version 3.1 and PostgreSQL

I am encountering the same problem with v3.1 and Postgres 9 on Windows as well as on Linux. I really would like to use Spago, because it´s the only Open Source BI tool with a good metadata layer and easy ad hoc reporting for end users.

Do you have news regarding this bug?

We have checked using the New SpagoBI Meta & Studio 3.1 procedure as given on the demo. But we are still facing the same issue when we use a SQL Server 2005 connection and database. The ping is successful however the model is empty. Please advise.

What kind of driver adn version did you use when you define the connection?

We have referenced sqljdbc.jar in the BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0 java lib folder. Will this need to be placed somewhere else or please specify the location

I have updated the sqljdbc.jar driver, for using spago bi studio with sqlserver 2005, but I'm still having the same problem (the model is empty after chosing the table to import).
