Co-founder RCP Vision
Vincenzo Caselli is co-founder of RCP Vision. He is responsible for training and consultancy services as well as for the development of applications and Eclipse RCP plug-ins. Moreover he has gained valuable expertise in J2EE applications development. Since 1996 he has been working as a stand-alone consultant and Java training teacher for different Italian software providers. He started his career as a Delphi and other visual IDEs developer in enterprises using AS/400 systems. Afterwards, focusing on Java programming language, he has started to propose multi-layer Client/Server solutions to his customers. He has worked as a web developer using different frameworks (Struts, Hibernate, Spring, JSF and GWT) in different domains (banking, industry, healthcare, e-learning). He is one of the authors of "Service Oriented Architecture with Java" [Packt Publishing]. In 2006 he discovered Eclipse RCP during a working experience with IBM in a project based on Eclipse RCP and SOA. Since then, he has contributed to the improvement of the effectiveness and power of this platform. Some years later, he co-founded RCP Vision.

Ricco Deutscher is the managing director of SOPERA. Before joining SOPERA, Ricco Deutscher was an architecture and technology expert at McKinsey and in charge of international architecture projects. In this capacity he developed the fields of SOA and Open Source at McKinsey. In addition, Ricco Deutscher was also co-founder and president of Flatfox AG, a provider of email marketing technologies. He began his professional career as a software architect at SAP AG in Walldorf. Ricco Deutscher studied physics at the Universities of Leipzig and Moscow, and received a Doctorate in Theoretical Physics from Hanover.

Mario Fontana is Senior Software Architect at the Developer & Platform Evangelism Division, Microsoft. He supports the company Enterprise and Partner customers in the definition of service-oriented and cloud-based architectures. From 2002 to 2007 he was Solutions Architect in Microsoft Consulting Division (MCS), being involved in the realization of software solutions for large enterprises. Mario has consolidated experience focused on the applicative security domain, in which he actively participates through various articles and his blog. Mario is member of SCOE (Microsoft Security Center of Excellence), SCRB (Microsoft Security Content Review Board) for MSDN, TechNet and Microsoft Press. Since 2008 he has been member of the track owners board, contributing to architectural issues for the European TechEd Conference and the American TechReady Conference in Seattle. In 2009 Mario founded the Italian Chapter of IASA (International Association of Software Architects), a non-profit organization for IT architects’ mentoring, networking and certification, co-responsible for the IASA Europe institution.

Paolo Maresca is associate professor of Computer Engineering at the Department of Computer and Systems Science, University Federico II of Naples (Italy). He graduated in electronic engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and took Phd in electronic engineering and computer science at same university. He is member of the AICA (Italian Association for Information Technology and Automatic Computing), as well as senior member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers). Author of about 100 technical papers on ICT issues in refereed national and international conferences, books and journals, Paolo Maresca is also referee and associated editor of various international magazines in the Computer Science domain and coordinator of the Eclipse Italian Community. In particular, Paolo Maresca is responsible for the coordination and development of the Eclipse Italian Community and of its harmonization with the other European Eclipse communities as well as with the other open source communities. Paolo Maresca has presented several articles focused on Eclipse topics during national and international conferences, in order to spread the interest on these issues and to gather the feedback of Italian university and industrial groups. Moreover, he has held numerous seminars throughout Italy, in order to foster the cooperation between Eclipse and open source software and the development/research environments. Ralph Müller started working for the Eclipse Foundation in September 2005. A computer scientist by trade, he sees the main focus of his work in the exploration and building of the European Eclipse Eco System. He has held senior management positions at Engineering Group in project and product management for large enterprises and the public administration, in software process improvement & quality assurance and in the definition of innovative architectural solutions. He contributed to the development and start-up of Engineering Group’s quality system and to the achievement of ISO 9001:2000 and SW-CMMI certifications. He is active in project management activities and software engineering, coordinating various projects within Engineering Group, where he is also a focal point for open source initiatives.
In 2004 he founded SpagoWorld initiative (www.spagoworld.org). He is currently member of the SpagoWorld Executive Board and of OW2 Consortium Board of Directors (www.ow2.org), where he promotes several activities and initiatives. He is also active in the community of Eclipse Foundation (www.eclipse.org) and in the FLOSS Competence Center international network (www.flosscc.org). He has contributed to some Italian and European IT research projects, focusing on open source. As an architect and product manager, he is responsible for SOPERA's core service platform and co-leads the Eclipse Swordfish project.
