SpagoWorld Initiatives
Engineering Group supports and participates in several open source and technology communities, in which it plays different roles:- foundation and management of international communities around its own initiatives (SpagoWorld and GeoBI initiative)
- participation in various international open source communities, and their initiatives, either as a corporate member (OW2 Consortium and Eclipse Foundation), or as a contributor (through the contribution of two members of Spagic core team, G. Boccalon and A. Zoppello, to the Apache Service Mix project)
- participation in many open source Competence Centers, both in national ones, such as the Italian Open Source Competence Center, and in international ones, such as the Qualipso Competence Centers Network and the FLOSS CC initiative
- participation in communities referring to European initiatives and research projects, in which Engineering Group plays the role of coordinator or active partner, like it did or it is currently doing in various Research activities
- membership in communities which define and support the main technology standards of the market, such as the OSGi Alliance.
