SpagoBI Server

SpagoBI Server is the main module of the suite. It offers all the core and analytical functionalities.

SpagoBI Server

The Analytical Model is the core of SpagoBI Server and covers the whole range of analytical needs, providing many solutions for each analytical area:

  • Reports, to show structured data in a pixel-perfect way
  • OLAP analysis, to navigate through the data
  • Graphs, providing simple and intuitive views of the information
  • Real-time dashboards, to monitor the KPIs
  • KPI models, to build and test one's own performance monitoring model
  • Geo-referenced reporting, to publish data stored in a simple data warehouse over a geographical representation
  • Cockpits, to realize complex and interactive dashboards
  • Free Inquiry (QbE), to freely build one's own query, export the results in data-sheets and generate the first report template
  • Data mining processes, to discover hidden information
  • Office Documents, to publish Office documents under the behavioural model control
  • Analytical Dossiers, to share public and private information before a meeting (i.e. budget discussion, meetings on projects development process) or to archive thematic collections of documents (i.e. books about seasonal products, with their relative trading data)
  • Accessible Reports in compliance with the international standard WCAG 2.0 and with the Italian law (law 4/2004, so called "Legge Stanca")
  • RT Console for the application monitoring
  • Smart Filter for the guided data selection
  • External Process, to execute external processes that can interact with OLTP systems
  • ETL/EII processes, to collect data from different sources.
Based on Open Standards adoption, SpagoBI allows the end-user to compose the most suitable BI platform, also mixing open source and proprietary products in order to maximize the overall ROI, to save investments already done, providing quickly the first results with a smooth insertion in pre-existing environments.

The Behavioural Model regulates visibility over documents and data according to the end-users' roles. It allows to:

  • reduce the required number of analytical documents
  • code only once the behavioural and visibility rules on data
  • guarantee the uniform growth of the project over time
  • guarantee the respect of the visibility rules over time, with no limit on the number of engines and analytical documents that the user adds.
All the analytical documents are strictly related to the behavioural model. In fact, the behavioural model guides the behaviour of the analytical documents according to the user's role, managing the visibility of documents and data.
