SpagoBI license
SpagoBI suite is free/open source software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 2.1 of the License, or any later version.In other words, anyone who receives SpagoBI software undertakes both license rights and duties. According to the GNU LGPL license, if you modify SpagoBI software and distribute the modified version, all changes fall under the GNU LGPL license. The unchanged copies of SpagoBI software must keep the GNU LGPL license as well. This license guarantees that the software remains free, even after its modification. However, users can link it to any other free/open source or proprietary program, provided that the source code of the LGPL part is made available and that the LGPL part can be updated independently of the rest of the program to which it is linked.
SpagoBI is an original suite proving unique solutions and a wide range of analytical tools. In order to provide users with different options for the same analytical area, also using the state-of-the art of open source software, SpagoBI sometimes uses open source components or libraries, or integrates third-party open source tools, integrating the suite with tools/engines that are offered as an usage option.
This is applicable since: i) the open source components or libraries are used in compliance with both license rights and duties of the attendant licence, ii) the third-party open source tools can reasonably be considered independent and separate works in themselves. In this event, these open source solutions or components and any derivative work which is derived from them maintain the attendant license.
