First Integrator Partner in Latin America

Engineering and Konsultex, both already headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, sign a partnership agreement to spread the open source platform SpagoBI in Latin America.

Rome (Italy) and Sao Paulo (Brazil), 4^th November 2009 – Engineering has signed an industrial partnership agreement with Konsultex, a systems integration and consulting organization, headquartered in Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil), in order to foster the adoption of Engineering's open source solutions, now widely used at the international level.
The commercial agreement aims at the integration and support of the open source platform SpagoBI within the business intelligence projects which are developed by Konsultex in Latin America.
Konsultex is member of the international OW2 Consortium (www.ow2.org), of which Engineering is cofounder and strategic member. Through its projects forge, the OW2 Consortium guarantees the independent sustainability of the open source model over time, on which SpagoBI is based.

"This partnership increases Engineering's presence in Brazil, where it was already present through its branch offices in Sao Paulo" said Gabriele Ruffatti, Engineering's Architectures and Consulting Director. "It gives us the opportunity to better support people who use SpagoBI in the development of their own projects in Brazil, offering them our support services, provided in local language as well. SpagoBI development model requires a tight collaboration with selected partners, which must follow a specific training program and must demonstrate they have gained experience in the integration of the platform. They must be able to supply support services, which are continuously guaranteed by a collaboration agreement between them and the project team, which develops the solution and improves its reliability over time".
