Engineering Group announces the GeoBI initiative

Engineering Group announces the GeoBI initiative, a new international open source initiative on Location Intelligence.
The initiative aggregates companies, organizations, project communities and individuals into an open community, which aims to foster the cooperation in the Location Intelligence domain and to support research activities. This allows to convert the results into innovative enterprise applications as well as to enrich and integrate the existing open source GIS and BI solutions, through the adoption of open standards.
The initiative members include the Italian companies Engineering Group and Inova, the French company Altic, the Canadian company Spatialytics, the Swiss company Camptocamp and the SESAR research lab, Information Technology Department, University of Milan, Italy.
