Projects of GeoBI initiative, the open community making open source Location Intelligence adoption pervasive

SpagoBI Suite by Engineering Group SpagoBI is the only entirely open source Business Intelligence suite, supporting the development of innovative and flexible Business Intelligence solutions.
SpagoBI satisfies all traditional analytical requirements (reporting, multidimensional analysis, charts, dashboards, data mining, ETL), offering original solutions in the domains of the Location Intelligence, free inquiry, KPIs modeling, collaboration and information enrichment, thanks to the continuous interaction with the end user. Conceived and realized by Engineering, it is part of the software stack managed by the international Consortium OW2 (www.ow2.org), which promotes professional open source solutions, suitable for enterprise contexts.

GeoReport by Inova GeoReport is an interactive decision-support tool, providing a WebGIS OGC compliant interface, supported by analysis and reporting tools of external BI platforms. At present, GeoReport supports PentahoBI and SpagoBI.
It allows to generate reports based on thematic maps (Cartographical Reports), representing cartographical information that is collected from different sources (such as SHP, GeoJSON, WMS, WFS, WCS, GoogleMap, OpenStreetMap) and linked with external data. Thanks to GeoReport intuitive web interface, users can analyze the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) directly on the territory.
GeoReport is a configurable application, which allows users to easily set all the parameters needed for executing reports, visualizing maps, recovering data, setting indicators and allowing maps thematization.

GeoKettle by Spatialytics GeoKettle is a Spatial ETL (Extract, Transform -integration, data cleansing, data structure, "updating"...- and Load) tool, powered by Kettle. GeoKettle is a true and consistent integration of the spatial component, where all steps provided by Kettle are able to deal with geospatial data types. Some geospatial dedicated steps have also been added.

GeoMondrian by Spatialytics GeoMondrian is a "spatially-enabled" version of Mondrian OLAP server. GeoMondrian provides a consistent integration of spatial objects into the OLAP data cube structure, instead of fetching them from a separate spatial DBMS, web service or GIS file. GeoMondrian integrates the first spatial extensions to the MDX language adding spatial analysis capabilities to the analytical queries.

Mapfish by Camptocamp MapFish is a flexible and complete framework for building rich web-mapping applications. It emphasizes high productivity and high-quality development. MapFish already includes quite a lot of features related to GeoBI in terms of visualization.

SOLAPLayers by Spatialytics SOLAPLayers is a lightweight cartographic component to be integrated into existing dashboard frameworks which enables navigation in geospatial (Spatial OLAP or SOLAP) data cubes, such as those handled by GeoMondrian. SOLAPLayers, mainly based on OpenLayers and GeoExt, allows the connection with a Spatial OLAP server such as GeoMondrian, the navigation in geospatial data cubes and the cartographic representation of some measures as static or dynamic choropleth maps.
