fOSSa Conference 2011 in Lyon (France)

Engineering Group organizes the fOSSa Conference, an international event playing a predominant role in the Open Source Software arena, together with INRIA, CITI (Centre of Innovation in Telecommunications and Integration of services) Laboratory of INSA Lyon (National Institute of the Applied Sciences) and IRILL.

fOSSa is the right place to discover new open source projects, trends and challenges, network and meet OSS leaders, grab OSS best practices and experiences, explore open source connections with human beings.

At fOSSa people discuss in an open-minded context about:

  • what is happening in the open domain
  • what tech people are actually doing and innovating
  • which are the upcoming issues and challenges in the open development context
  • how open activities, collaboration and knowledge sharing is beneficial to academia, education and industry.

Engineering Group brings its expertise and know-how into the various sessions of the event, namely:

  • 27th October: Gabriele Ruffatti, Engineering Group's Architectures and Consulting Director and founder of the SpagoWorld initiative, leads the conference track on Open Collaboration, Open Cloud and Open Data.
  • 27th October: the Easy-to-go live demo Party session
    • Stefano Scamuzzo, SpagoBI International Manager at Engineering Group, presents a renovated demonstration of the Agile BI provided by SpagoBI. This demo was awarded the Open Innovation Award at the Open World Forum 2011 in Paris. Download the presentation (also on SlideShare)
