Hello,
I have progress a little bit.
Those lines where missing in /tomcat6/conf/server.xml (in ubuntu 10.04 : /usr/share/tomcat6/conf/server.xml):
And a library was missing in /tomcat6/lib (in ubuntu 10.04 : /usr/share/tomcat6/lib) (get them in all in one package - foo-commonj.jar - concurrent.jar - commonj-twm.jar - I.m not sure of the one which solved the precedent error) .
Now I have the message :etl.process.started when executing ETL Document via Spagobi Server.
And some tempory folders are created in /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/resources/talend/RuntimeRepository/java/Test/Hello
But I still have an error message in catalina.out and SpagoBI.log :
And can't see my TMsgBox jobs : hello world box
I continue ... with a data process, to test if its works.
Expect someone could help
Eric.

Hello,
It's solved.
A - check if those lines are in /tomcat6/conf/server.xml (in ubuntu 10.04 : /usr/share/tomcat6/conf/server.xml):
B - configure Spagobi server in TOS (preferences or ?)
1 - deploy the job with TOS (check before if the deploy folder is created - .../webapps/talend/RuntimeRepository/java/ chown and chmod if needed)
2 - create an XML file (you may found it under /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/resources/talend/RuntimeRepository/java/TOSPROJECTNAME/TOSJOBNAME/spagobi.xml (core server with ubuntu 10.04)
3 - create a new ETL document with the spagobi.xml file as model
4 - save the ETL document
The process is not all self-deploying, you have to create the spagobi.xml file or get it from the server side deploy folder, and create a new ETL document (in server document creation) with this file as model.
Greatings,
Eric

Hi Eric,
I try to set up SpagoBI to run from our Ubuntu 12.04 server. Well, not much luck till now....I will try to follow your action list.
Are you actually aware of a good documentation about how to set up SpagoBI on Linux? I managed to make it work - properly - on my win7 machine..
Thanks alot,
Zsolt

Remember that your ETL Document must have the Status set to "Released" for it to be visible in the document tree for scheduling :)
